Washington, DC -- Congressman David Davis today announced that Watauga Volunteer Fire Department has been awarded $ 65, 368 for operations and safety. The grant is administered through the Department of Homeland Security.
“I am pleased to see that the Department of Homeland Security is investing in the safety of our First District,” said Davis. “It is always a priority to keep our first responders as safe and protected as possible and this grant will do just that by assisting in funds for training, personnel protective equipment, and safety modifications to their stations,” Davis added.
