Washington, DC -- Congressman Davis issued the following statement in response to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs plans to open six new veterans clinics in Tennessee, one being located in Sevier County:
“This is great news for the veterans in and around Sevier County. The new clinic will continue the promise of top-notch health care for our men and women who have worn our nation’s uniform.
“The new clinic in Sevier County will undoubtedly make high quality health care more accessible and convenient for our veterans.
“Each and every veteran deserves excellent health care and accessibility to health care; the new clinic in Sevier County is a step in the right direction,” said Davis, who recently supported our veterans by voting for the largest veteran funding increase in our nation’s history.
The new clinics are scheduled to activate in 2008. The Sevier County clinic, along with five other new clinics in Tennessee will provide health care to the men and women who have served our country.
The location and services to be provided at the new locations have not been announced. The new clinic in Sevier County is slated to open in 2008.
