Washington, DC -- Congressman David Davis announced a Bureau of Justice Assistance Grant to Johnson County Government in the amount of $49,960 designated for Justice and Mental Health Collaboration.
“I am pleased to announce this grant to Johnson County,” Congressman David Davis. “This federal money will be great use in the advancement of our region.”
The Justice and Mental Health Collaboration Program seeks to increase public safety through innovative cross-system collaboration for individuals with mental illness who come into contact with the criminal or juvenile justice systems. The program is designed to increase public safety by facilitating collaboration among the criminal justice, juvenile justice, and mental health, and substance abuse treatment systems to increase access to service for offenders with mental illness.
