Washington, DC -- Congressman David Davis announced today a U.S. Department of Homeland Security Assistance to Firefighters Grant to the Carter county Emergency and Rescue Squad, Inc. in the amount of $20,126 designated for Operations and Safety.
“Keeping our homeland secure starts in our community,” Congressman David Davis said. “Carter County Emergency and Rescue Squad will be able to use this federal money to further protect our region.”
The purpose of the AFG program is to award grants directly to fire departments. These awards aim to enhance our first responder’s ability to protect the health and safety of the public as well as that of first responder personnel, with respect to fire-related hazards.
