Washington, DC -- Congressman David Davis today announced that the Pigeon Forge Police Department has been awarded $352,500. The grant is administered through the Department of Justice Community Oriented Policing Services Office (COPS).
“Keeping our communities safe is a definite priority. This grant enables Pigeon Forge Police Department to attain new technology that will keep the community safe,” said Davis.
The COPS program helps local law enforcement agencies hire, equip, and train new community policing professionals. COPS funding helps maximize the impact local law enforcement officers have on the people who live there.
