Issues-Immigration

Illegal immigration in the United States has become a problem. People are entering our country daily at an astounding rate. My position on immigration is very simple. Illegal means Illegal, and that is why I have taken action by co-sponsoring the following bills:

  • H.R. 938, the “Nuclear Family Priority Act.” This legislation amends the current family-sponsored immigration program by limiting sponsorship to spouses and children of permanent resident aliens. The current system allows for “chain immigration” allowing resident aliens to abuse the program and sponsor entire extended families for residency.
  • H.R. 1940, the “Birthright Citizenship Act.” This legislation limits citizenship to children born in the United States. One parent must be either a citizen, a permanent resident alien, or an alien serving in the U.S. Armed Services.
  • H.R. 2086. Legislation you introduced to expand the Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s 287(g) program allowing local law enforcement agencies to enforce immigration laws.
  • H.R. 4088, the “SAVE Act.” Provides ICE with the means to enforce immigration laws while providing employers with a reliable employee verification system so that jobs are not provided to illegal aliens.
  • H.R. 4176. Prohibits states from issuing drivers licenses or other identification documents to illegal aliens
